Liǎng gè huánglí míng cuìliǔ,
两个黄鹂鸣翠柳，
yì háng báilù shàng qīngtiān.
一行白鹭上青天。
Chuāng hán Xī Lǐng qiānqiū xuě,
窗含西岭千秋雪，
mén bó Dōng Wú wànlǐ chuán.
门泊东吴万里船。

Evaluation

“西岭”指成都西面的岷山。“东吴”指现在的江苏、浙江一带。
“西岭” refers to the Minshan Mountain in the west of Chengdu. “东吴” refers to Jiangsu province and Zhejiang province nowadays.

两只黄鹂在翠绿的柳树上婉转地鸣叫，一行白鹭悠悠地飞上了蓝天。窗外望见了西边岷山上千年不化的白雪，门前停靠着从万里之遥的东吴驶来的行船。
Two yellow orioles sing amid the willows green; a row of white egrets fly into the blue sky. From my window the snow-crowned western hills are seen; beyond the door the east-bound ships at anchor lie.

这首诗描写了诗人居所得优美环境。诗中充满了鲜艳亮丽的色彩：“黄鹂”的黄色，“翠柳”的绿色，“白鹭”的白色，“青天”的蓝色，给人一种明快的视觉感受。“千秋雪”和“万里船”又给人一种时间和空间上的空旷、辽远的感觉。通过这些描写，我们可以感受到诗人愉快、舒畅的心境。
The poem describes the beautiful surrounding of the poet’s residence. We can see bright colors in this poem: the golden color of the orioles, the greenness of the willow tree, the whiteness of the egrets and the blueness of the sky, which bring vivid visual pleasure to us. The snow and the ships convey a feeling of hollowness in time and distance in space. Through these descriptions, we can feel the pleasant mood of the poet.
