Shí nián mó yí jiàn,
十年磨一剑，
shuāng rèn wèicéng shì.
霜刃未曾试。
Jīnrì bǎ shì jūn,
今日把示君，
shuí yǒu bùpíng shì?
谁有不平事?

It takes me ten years to sharpen this sword and now its edge is as shining as frost, but I’ve not try it yet. Today I show it to you. Please tell me who under the sun has been wronged and need to fight for justice.

这首诗写的“剑客”是比喻诗人自己，宝剑比喻诗人自己的才能。诗人巧妙地用“剑”比喻自己的才能，用“剑客”自喻，表达了自己经过十年寒窗苦读，身负出众的才华，胸怀宏大的理想抱负，急着想要施展才能，干一番事业的豪情壮志。
