After seeing the ocean, one cannot be content with a pond

Explanation

“曾经沧海难为水” was first used in an ancient Chinese poem, and usually describes the loyalty to love. It means that after loving someone, one cannot fall in love with another. It also can serve as a metaphor to describe how someone who has experienced great events and is well-informed may look down upon ordinary things.
