1.今天星期几?
What day is today?
你的生日是几月几号?
What’s your birthday?
在汉语中,年、月、日是按下面的顺序排列的。比如2009年5月1日,年的读法是直接读出每个数字,比如2009年。十二个月的名称是数词1到12的后边加“月”,比如5月。“日”的表示法跟“月”相同,就是在数词1到31的后边加“日”或者“号”,口语中常说“号”。星期的表示法是“星期”的后边加数词一到六,第七天是“星期日”或者“星期天”,询问日期时,一般用“几”。
In Chinese, time is expressed in the order of year, month and date. For example, 2009-5-1, each digit of a specific year should be pronounced. Examples: 2009 nian. Chinese months are expressed in the pattern of numerals + “yue”. Examples: 5 yue. Chinese dates are also expressed in the pattern of numerals + “ri” or “hao”. In spoken Chinese, “hao” is more often used. Chinese weeks are expressed in the pattern of “xingqi” + numerals. But the seventh day (Sunday) is “xingqi ri” or “xingqi tian”. When inquiring about a date, normally “ji” is used.

2.今天星期四。
Today is Thursday.
今天2月28号。
Today is February 28.
名词谓语句
在汉语中,名词、名词短语或者数量词等也可以直接在句子中作谓语,这种句子主要在口语中用来表达时间、年龄或者籍贯等。如果要表示否定,需要在名词谓语前加上“不是”,比如:“今天星期四。”“今天不是星期四。”
In Chinese, nouns and noun phrases, and numeral-classifier compounds can also be used as predicates, but mainly in spoken Chinese to express time, age, and birthplace. If the statement is negative, “bu shi” (not) should be used in front of the noun predicate. Example: Today is Thursday. Today is not Thursday.
