If you want to ask about a price in Chinese, the simplest way is: “How much is it?” What should we answer? The Chinese currency is called “Renminbi”, which has three denominations. Their values and names are as follows: 1yuan = 10jiao = 100fen. But in spoken Chinese, “yuan” and “jiao” often read “kuai” and “mao”.
When the number does not end with a numerical classifier, the last classifiers “shi”, “bai”, “qian” can be omitted. Examples: 110 can be pronounced as “yi bai yi”; 1100 can be pronounced as “yi qian yi”; 11000 can be pronounced as “yi wan yi”.
