暗恋 (ànliàn) to fall in love with someone secretly

Usage:

“暗恋”是指一方对另一方心存爱意或好感却没有表白。通常所爱的对象并没有这样的爱意或好感。
"暗恋(ànliàn)" means someone is attracted to another one or has a crush on him/her, but hasn't confess her/his love. However, normally, the other part doesn't feel the same way.

Sentences:

1、 Tā yǐjīng ànliàn nàgè nǚhái hǎoduō nián le,què yìzhí méiyǒu biǎobái.
他已经暗恋那个女孩好多年了，却一直没有表白。
He likes her for many years, but has never spoken to her.

2、 Ànliàn wǎngwǎng shì méiyǒu jiéguǒ de.
暗恋往往是没有结果的。
An unrequited love always has no ends.
