Tiānjiē xiǎoyǔ rùn rú sū,
天街小雨润如酥，
cǎosè yáo kàn jìn què wú.
草色遥看近却无。
Zuì shì yì nián chūn hǎo chù,
最是一年春好处，

绝胜烟柳满皇都。

Evaluation

张十八员外”指的是唐代诗人张籍，张籍在兄弟中排行十八，所以被称作“张十八”。“员外”是一个官职的名称，张籍曾担任水部员外郎。
"张十八员外(Zhāng Shíbā Yuánwài)" refers to the poet Zhang Ji of the Tang Dynasty. Zhang Ji was the 18th son in his family, so he was called "张十八(Zhang Eighteen)". "员外(Yuánwài)" is the name of a government post, and Zhang Ji had held the post in the Ministry of Water Resources.

京城的街道上丝丝的小雨象酥油一样滋润着路面，远远看去，早春的小草笼罩着一片朦胧的绿意，走近了却什么也看不出来。现在正是春天最好的时节，这番美景，远远胜过如烟的绿柳遍布京城。
The streets in the capital city were being moistened like cream by the fine drizzle. You could see the soft greenness of the early spring grass from a distance, but as you walked near and could not see anything. It was the best time of spring, and this beautiful scenery was so much better than the city which was beclouded with the hazy willow trees.
