Everyday Chinese: Lesson 43 Using a Credit Card
Chinese people are used to paying in cash. Even when traveling abroad they carry large sums of cash, which increases the risk of losing money or having it stolen. But now, people are gradually seeing the benefits of the credit card. More and more young people in particular are choosing to use credit cards. Various banks offer incentive schemes which reward regular credit customers with gifts when they use their cards. Therefore, it's no longer surprising to find several cards in young Chinese people's wallets.
