Cultural tips

The Internet is becoming increasingly important in China, especially for the younger generation, who use it for a lot of things --getting information, receiving and sending emails, reading online, and interacting with their friends who are in other parts of the country or even overseas through online chatting and so on. Some people choose to access the Internet in Internet bars instead of surfing at home, in the office or at school. At present, the Chinese government has strict regulations for the operation of Internet bars. People who enter Internet bars have to show their ID cards to prove that they are adults, while there are also special Internet bars just for younger children. If the administrator discovers that young children are looking at unhealthy websites or playing games for too long, they will convince them to stop or quit.
