围观 (wéiguān) onlookers

Usage:

“围观”是网络用语,是说如果某人做出非常醒目的行为就有可能导致很多人观看。也有指中国人有围观特别事物的癖好。多见于论坛和微博中。
“围观” is a phrase from the internet. It means that when someone does something very eye-catching, it may resut in others watching. It also refers to the habit of Chinese people who like to observe special things. It is commonly used in forums and Weibo.

1、这条新闻刚被发布出去,就引来无数人围观。
Zhètiáo xīnwén gāng bèi fābù chūqù, jiù yǐnlái wúshùrén wéiguān.
As soon as it was published, this news story was attracted a great number of onlookers.
