"Amazing" follows a video game tester`s adventure in the virtual world of a basketball-themed video game where he meets several stars and learnts about true meaning of life.

I’ve always been interested in movies/series that is related to Basketball. Space Jam was the first ever entertainment movie that i watched which involves basketball, then came Like Mike & etc.

In the past decade, China & Taiwan have been filming drama series with basketball as the main theme and i only watched MVP Lovers (Taiwan) & 篮球部落 (China) before where i skip the others due to the extreme lameness along with the craps in it.

Buzzer Beat by the Japanese just last year looks promising during the first few episodes but it eventually had a sucky ending to it with only 11 episodes in total.

Don’t even mention the movie which Jay Chou starred in with his time stop ability at the end of the movie.

Anyways just recently, Shanghai Films 上海电影集团有限公司 have co-operate with NBA coming out with 神奇 Amazing as a movie featuring basketball as its main theme and talks about youth, life, love and of course baketball itself.

Actors who’re involved includes China’s current top actor Huang Xiaoming 黄晓明, Hong Kong’s actor/director Stephen Fung 冯德伦, Taiwan’s famous host Charles Chen 黑人 陈建州 & Resident Evil : Afterlife star Eric Mabius where else the actresses are Huang Yi 黄奕. Li Qin 李沁 and Ah-jung Kim 金雅中.

Basketball players who’re in the film are Wang Zhizhi 王治郅, Yi Jian Lian 易建联, Scottie Pippen, Dwight Howard, Carmelo Anthony and of course, Yao Ming 姚明 with his cameo appearance.

The movie was scheduled to start its filming stage back in August this year and today itself the crew will be filming the ending of the movie in a NBA friendly pre-match between 2 NBA Teams – Houston Rockets and New Jersey Nets in Beijing with its main focus on Yao Ming 姚明 playing for Houston Rockets.

The official press conference was held just yesterday at Beijing revealing extra information on the movie itself where the actors will be in the same team with the NBA players mentioned above with Huang Xiaoming 黄晓明 being the main character in the movie.
A movie about dreams and love which featuring big names in NBA surely interests me and i’m glad that there aren’t too many SUPERSTAR Actors in it which might make the film look nice just on the outside where the quality of the movie itself going down.

One thing i don’t understand is why did they choose Huang Xiaoming 黄晓明 to be in the film as he himself even confessed that he’s not good in Basketball to start with but well it remains an unchanged fact, so no point debating on who should be the main man in the film.
