打哑谜 (dǎ yǎmí) make puzzling remarks; play dummy

Usage:

“打哑谜”指说话比较隐晦，不直接说，不容易让人明白。
“打哑谜” means to tell something indirectly and it is not easy to be understood.

Sentences:

1、Tā shuōhuà lǎo xǐhuan dǎ yǎmí, ràng biérén cāi tā de yìsī.
他说话老喜欢打哑谜，让别人猜他的意思。
He likes making puzzling remarks and people always have to guess what he said.

2、Guānyú fángjià shìfǒu hái huì jìxù xiàjiàng zhè ge wèntí, zhèngfǔ yìzhí zài gēn rénmen dǎ yǎmí.
关于房价是否还会继续下降这个问题，政府一直在跟人们打哑谜。
The government has been making puzzling remarks on whether the housing price continues to drop.
