西施，xī shī
“炒西施舌”，xī shī shé，(SpeculationCoelomactra)。据传，战国美女(belle)西施，被绑(tie up)上石头(stone)投入海中，尔后沉入(sink into)大海(ocean)，从此沿海的泥(mire)中便有了一种似(like)人舌(tongue)的“海蚌”(freshwater mussel)贝类，人们称它为“西施舌”。三十年代(1930s)著名作家郁达夫(Yu-known writer)在福建时，亦称赞(praise)“西施舌”是闽菜中最佳的一种神品(the best)。
